The wood cost reduction is nice, but I honestly think China needs a rework at this point.

I think they are close to being viable, but they have just been a victim of powercreep and players learning how to defend rushes better. They will straight up lose to an FF and civs with a strong cav unit can roll them over due to Russia lacking solid anticav options. They can get outrushed by the native civs and india and cant macro for a strong midgame like the other euro civs. Their age 3 is very weak, besides the 2 falc shipment they arn't getting any major power spikes from getting there. Smart base building and herding can easily stop this rush as they cant really siege down the TC fast enough or inflict enough eco damage to slow their opponent down. Their bread and butter strelet rush has been figured out. In 1v1 Russia might be just about the worst civ atm, between them and aztec.Д¬ontrary to how Russia to precieved to be dominant early, they have a slower start due to not having settler shipment putting them behind in eco and behind in age time. Maybe a 50 wood discount on TPs too to work the silk road angle?Дepends on game mode maybe. Maybe cutting the cost of abus/jan is a good idea because while being decent performers, their cost is higher than their equivalents which when paired with a weaker eco, is pretty bad. I think your initial settler change is good but the mosque one isn't needed. On paper they should have a punchy tp based eco backed up by strong units, but it never seems to turn out that way. In terms of the buffs, I only really play Ottos but it's hard to say what to do exactly. With Sweden I think late game buffs to Caros need to be calmed down a bit, their age 4 mamluk card needs to cost the correct amount, (rn it's cheaper for Sweden to send Mamluks than Ottomans which makes zero sense) & yeah probably something with torps, like maybe gold gather rate because I don't think their food amount is a huge problem.

I'd also bring rifle rider ROF in line with other ranged cav as I can't think of a justifiable reason they shoot twice as fast with their multipliers. Lakota changes look okay too but I don't think their teepees are really the problem, I'd put slow down the warchief or take away his guardian snipe as it's too easy for them to hoover up all the good treasures atm. If you're wondering why I'm taking jabs at eco for say, Ottomans - it's because a slightly lower eco will result in a slightly less powerful game overall for them, not because their overall eco is OP but because of what they can afford with it for the cost.ДЎ00% agree with Ashi speed & probs shrine nerf too.

Increase the amount of 'training time reduced' on the third mosque upgrade by 3 seconds to bring this back up to speed mid to late-game.

Yes every civilization has its strengths and weaknesses, here are my suggestions: Mistakes are forgiven far too easily and the amount of effort required to win is simply not as much as the current lower-tier civilizations. Lakota, Sweden, and Japan are overperforming in every aspect. Right now, especially in 1v1, it seems pretty obvious that Russia is underperforming overall next to China. Most of the time they aren't game-breaking. I'm a huge fan of small nerfs and small buffs to iron things out.
